opinions are welcome. anonymity is fine for those of you who do not want the whole wide world to know what you think; i don't know why some people don't allow that on their blogs. oh and, if you want to say something like "you suck", be sure to let me know why. perhaps i can fix it.

ok, so the good part about the last 2 days is that we haven't had any class. the bad part was that right before the debate i had terrible stagefright again, and that i think i accidentally gave the best sudoku-player in seladang the wrong answer. maybe. and if it was me, i am really sorry to everyone in seladang.

on monday, they told us the debate was going to be on tuesday. naturally, the living daylights (why do people use that term? daylight isn't even a living organism.) had been scared out of me and i was really nervous. for the first time in my life, my teeth were actually chattering because of my nervousness. our topic was "Anything men can do women can do better". we were the opposing team. luckily, seladang beat harimau in the semi-finals. after yul finished making his statement, it became inevitable that we were going to win. he rocked. harimau just kept talking about how women could get pregnant and stuff. but yul's rebuttal was good. great. awesomely great. this year, there's this new thing, that if we find that our opponents' facts are in fact not facts, we can say "point of order!" and the opponent will have to answer us or say "denied". so when yul said
"men are better at fishing, sports, training animals-",
one of our opponents said
"Point of order!"
and asked
"what evidence do you have that men are better at all these things than women?"
and yul replied
"what evidence do YOU have that they aren't?!"
haha. that was hysterical.

today was quiz. it was.... interesting i suppose. shannon got a lot of the answers. i think she has a mechanical arm. unfortunately, seladang did not beat beruang for this round, so for the next round we will be competing for 3rd or 4th place. hopefully 3rd.

bleuksch.
